Most people would describe me as enthusiastic, which is exactly how I feel about real estate. I love, love, love my career, talking about real estate and best of all helping clients either sell and/or find the right home.
I am a Bay Area native. I grew up on the Peninsula and lived five years in San Francisco before moving to Berkeley in 2002. I love the culture and diversity that the East Bay brings, but who wouldn’t love our fantastic restaurants, outdoor recreational spaces and fantastic weather!
Before my career in real estate, I worked for 10 years as a paralegal in a construction litigation law firm in San Francisco. I have also owned my own business and managed family-owned property remodels and sales. I’ve learned through my past work experience to address any issue as it comes up, and to take corrective action as soon as possible. I will always tell my clients the hard news, even if they do not want to hear it! I strive to be as upfront and available as needed during the escrow process.
I know personally what it is like to wait by the phone to hear if your offer has been accepted and I do not lose sight that it is the client who is either buying or selling, not me. I work hard to alleviate stress whenever possible for clients and try making each step of the process as clear and stress-free as possible.
On my off time, I enjoy spending time with my family, knitting, bicycling, and hiking and enjoy volunteering to support my son’s school.
I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology, and was awarded a Fulbright Hayes for intensive Swahili study in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
I am a Member of the National, California and Berkeley Association of Realtors.
We saw soooo many houses, but Shannon never complained about our picky-ness. She offered professional feedback and never waivered in her commitment to finding us a home that we were happy with. I truly felt that she was an advocate for us. People keep telling us that we got a steal, and we think we got a great value, but we could NOT have done it without Shannon! IF YOU’RE READY TO SEARCH THEN CALL HER! Even our lender kept telling us how awesome she was.
Shannon helped me both sell my home in Mt. View and buy a home in Berkeley. She was there every step of the way and always followed up with me during the entire process. The assistance and recommendations she gave me in preparing my home for sale, not only save me money, but it helped me sell my home for more than I had ever anticipated. My new home in Berkeley is exactly what I was looking for and I couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend Shannon to anyone I know.
Shannon helped me find and purchase my current home. She took the time to understand not just the specifications of what I was looking for in a property, but also the aesthetic that I wanted. The house I eventually wanted to purchase was involved in a complicated legal situation related to the Seller. Shannon went above and beyond to make sure the deal went though, at times having to anticipate potential problems and have strategies in place in case they came to pass. She made herself available to me to answer questions, explain the details of the escrow process, give me resources or, at times, to calm me down when I was panicking.
If you want a low pressure, supportive, patient, detail-oriented, and understanding Realtor who will work her butt off for you, give Shannon a call.
I worked with Shannon on a transaction recently and she was fantastic. Smart, honest, hard working and clear. I would not hesitate to work with her again.
Shannon did a great job marketing and selling our home! We had a fair amount of work getting our house in shape for sale, and Shannon gave us great advice for making upgrades that would count. When issues arose during the selling process, she was always available with her sharp troubleshooting skills. We would recommend Shannon without hesitation.
Shannon did a wonderful job helping us find our house. We were working with a very tight budget and had unspeakable amounts of criteria for what we were looking for. Shannon was extremely patient with us and kept working with us to find the right house. Given our budget, she never tried to show us homes that were beyond our price range, which really helped. Shortly after working with Shannon, we found our house and she was quite diligent in working with the seller’s realtor during the offer and closing process. I would definitely recommend Shannon in a heartbeat!
Shannon was terrific. Incredibly patient. Understood what we were looking for. Gave great advice at every stage, from search to negotiation to closing and after closing. Would recommend her to anyone, particularly those with a family.
